When I was in the hospital for the second time, there were two ladies

that were extra nice to me. There were numerous others that were like

God's angels but I failed to get their names and addresses at first because

I was so sick. May God bless everyone of you and give you His special love.

This birthday card was for a very special lady that comes to my home

so that we can create cards and scrapbook pages together. Linda Hobbs is

one of three people who have come to my house every Monday since I got out

of the hospital. She, Deb White, and Judy Edgeworth have been doing this for

several months and words cannot express what this has meant to me.

Birthday Card

I made this card in a technique workshop. Diane O'Leary at Susie Q's taught the class. We applied some flocking material to give it a fuzzy feeling. You can feel the fur on the card even though it may not show too much in this picture. I found out that a little goes a long way. My first try had way too much fur and it looked awful. This was different and lots of fun. I plan to do this again.

This House Mice stamp was colored with SU chalks. This method of watercoloring is one of my favorite because I am able to do a better job using it. The paper is from "My Mind's Eye" book of paper and the ink and stamp set is SU. These little letters are my favorite alphabet stamps. They are small but always make a pretty card.

This birthday card is made with SU stamp sets, paper and ink. The roses on the front were cut from the "Walk in my Garden" Cricut cartridge. The happy birthday greeting is cut from the "Zoobaloo" Cricut cartridge.

This card was made using one of the Seaside stamps from SU. It is now retired but makes beautiful cards and scrapbook pages. I used SU chalks for watercoloring. It is one of my first successes at watercoloring and the circle around it is made using a punch. The happy birthday stamp is SU and a great set.

This card was created using some paper from the book "My Mind's Eye". The flowers were cut out of the paper and glued on the stems which are a SU set. The scalloped cirle and the other circle are SU punches and stamps also. The card is inked using SU sage ink. The paper was cut with my paper cutter using one of the design blades.

Dress Card

I attended a Close to My Heart party held at Susie Q's tonight and we created this beautiful dress card. This is the second workshop that I have attended with Diane O'Leary instructing. Diane also drew the pattern for the dress. Thanks Diane for sharing this lovely element with us. Anna and Mike Fulmer own Susie Q's and they are so helpful and allow their customers to scrap and host parties at their store. Sondra, Sue, Pam, Linda, Monza, Anna, and I attended the party hosted by Bivian. Diane gave great door prizes and I won a Close to My Heart stamp set that I had planned to buy at the party. But the greatest thing about the night was that I made some wonderful new friends and look forward to scrapping with them more. "Friends are like shoes and pockets" - "you can never have too many." Card making and scrap booking have brought me many new friends and I cherish all of them. Some of these friends I only know from online contact. Isn't God great.

Graduation card 3

This card is similar to another graduation card I saw this week. I cannot remember where I saw it. It is different and has the school colors for my cousin's twins. They are two of the sweetest young men and are nice enough to help me and my husband with jobs around our house that we are not able to do. I wish them all the success in the world. God is guiding them and I know they will do well.

This card was inspired by the Danny Kaye quote on the front of the card. I plan to put photo corners on the front but don't know what color or paper I am going to use. My daughter needs a graduation card and I need three and since we are sending some of them to the same people I wanted to make several cards.

My friend, Jeannie came to my house Friday and we created this card. We both fell in love with the owl. Jeannie picked the paper and did the designing and I cut the images we did on the Cricut.

Cheerful Card

This card was inspired by a get well card sent to a friend of mine. Jeannie had surgery but is doing great and we were able to stamp together today. She always inspires me to do something cheerful and positive. I used the Cricut to make the butterflies, scallops, and page corners. All of the card stock including the vellum on the butterflies' wings are Stampin' Up and the stamp is Emerson. These stamps are so much fun and I love to use them. Hope I didn't put to much red on the card. I just love to use the black and white paper.

Flower punch

This card was made using some paper I really liked. The large three layer flower is made by punches and a button in the middle. I punched the scallops and circle with Stampin' Up punches and the words are Stampin' Up stamps. The green card stock is Stampin' Ups certainly celery.

This card was created using the frame on Accent Essentials and Stampin Up's Always stamp set. I also used two other stamps. The small notes were given to me as a gift from a lady I purchased some stamps from ebay. The heart is embossed with using versa mark and moss green embossing powder. It is hard to tell with this scanned picture. I will try to make one with a camera later and mabye the detail will show more.

This tulip stamp belongs to a friend of mine and it is my first success at watercoloring with the prisma colored pencils. Hope to do more of this and get better.

I saw this large mouth bass on SCS and l's oved it. I scraplifted this one but I managed to find the stamp on ebay and can now use it often. My family loves to fish and I made this card for my son's birthday. It isn't until July but I didn't want to forget about this stamp.

Punched Flower Pot

The paisley paper was so pretty and I planned on using this piece for a house mouse card but I cannot find some of my supplies to watercolor with the prismacolored pencil I bought. That will have to come later. I found this flower pot and flower while looking for the other supplies so I changed to plan B. At my age there is always a plan B. Tell me what you think and don't forget to register in my guest book. I love to read your comments and know that you looked.

Cuttlebug Card

To make this card I embossed the paper with the circles, a solid yellow and a pink piece of paper. I then cut the flowers out of the solid paper and put it on top of the print paper. It is hard to see the embossing on the print paper but I liked the way this card turned out.

Friends and Pockets

This card was made using SU's "Pocket Fun" stamp set. I made it with my granddaughters in mind. I think it would make a cute birthday card for them to give their girl friends. Any teenager would enjoy receiving this card. The card has glue glitter on the pocket and at the center of each flower. It doesn't show very well on this scanned copy. I am going to have my husband take a picture and see if that works better. This is my second post with this card. I added photo corners and it looks much better. Thanks Jeannie.

Card Stock Vellum

Stampin' Up's card stock vellum is fantastic to print or stamp on. I recently printed some anniversary invitation for my son and his wife and decided to try a similar overlay with the vellum on a thank you card. It looks much better than the picture indicates.

GATE FOLD CARD

I saw this type card on Dawn's blog (Buggin' Around). She called it a simple gate fold card but I think it is simple yet elegant. Dawn, you have lots of beautiful cards on your blog. Thank you for sharing. I used Stampin' Up paper, scalloped punch and stamp. I cut the flowers with George Basic cartridge on the Cricut.

Circle Punch Flower

This birthday card was made for one of my friends. Aimee Grey showed me how to make a flower using SU's 1" circle punch and scalloped punch. I love the flower. Jeanne thanks for encouraging me to create at least one card on my own. The colors I used are cameo coral, gable green, and barely banana. The stem stamp set from SU adds the birthday greeting.

Simple but Elegant

This is a simple but elegant card made for an anniversary party. The embossing was done using the cuttlebug and the ribbon is SU. This design could also be used to congratulate someone on their wedding or anniversary. Thank you Jeanne for your help with this card.

Easter Card for Grandchildren

This card is the work of four crafters. My friend Jeannie taught me how to make this window card Christmas. I decided to make an Easter card like this for my grandchildren. My friends Dianne and Sondra also wanted to make these for their grandchildren. Using the rabbit on the ZooBalloo Cricut cartridge, I cut a 3" rabbit and some 1 3/4" grass. The lowerlayer button was used to layer the grass. The windows were cut in the card stock using the George Basics cricut cartridge and the center point button. This was really neat. The basket is 3" and the eggs are 1 1/2" and 3/4". The tag was made using SU's large tag punch and stamped with one of the stamps in the Loads of Love Accessories stamp set. I hope our grandchildren enjoy the cards as much as we enjoyed making them. We made a total of twelve. Stamping with friends is always fun and I have some talented and sweet friends. Thank you all for sharing in the creation of this card. Children, grandchildren and friends are our greatest blessings from God.

This view of the card makes it look flat but it has three parts. Thanks to my husband for his photographs. He makes great pictures for my scrapbooks and blog.

Leslie Miller has a beautiful card on her site "Running with Scissors" using the "Time Well Spent" stamp set that SU gave their demonstrators last year. I was excited to make a similar (I hesitate to use that word) one so that I could use the stamp set. I also used the Butterfly of Happiness stamp set for the first time to complete the inside. Thank you Leslie for sharing.

This card was made for my nephew's 11th birthday. The idea came from a card that my friend, Jeannie, has on her blog with this dog. I loved his wagging tail. I used my cricut Paper Pups cartridge for the "Yappy birthday" and "Best in the Yard". The grass was cut with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The tag inside was also cut using this cartridge. It is called an end cap tag and I shadowed it with baseball paper because he is a great baseball player. The best in our yard for sure.

This card was made at one of Aimee Grey's workshops. It would work for many sentiments such as thank you, thinking of you, get well, etc. Aimee has some wonderful workshops that I enjoy attending. You always leave with great ideas and examples ready to be used. She is my first SU upline and I have learned many new things from her.

Loads of Love Truck Card

This card was created for my son-in-law's birthday. It is sometimes hard to find a suitable card for men. I used "Loads of Love" truck stamp and the circle punch from Stampin' Up. This is one of my favorite stamp sets and I use it often.
